JOB DESCRIPTION: IT Network Engineer

Job Description

About Us:

We are an innovative IT company that develops customized IT solutions for our clients. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist with expertise in firewall management and comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities:

Execution of 2nd level support for IT infrastructure, including troubleshooting and escalation management
Responsibility for firewall configurations and security policies
Management of switches, routers, and other network components
Responsibility for the entire IT infrastructure
Conducting regular maintenance and upgrades of infrastructure components
Management of storage solutions to ensure data availability and integrity
Implementation and monitoring of PRTG for monitoring the entire infrastructure
Responsibility for reliable backup and recovery processes
Leading and executing customer projects

Requirements:

Completed education (HTL, technical college, or apprenticeship with IT focus)
Relevant professional experience in network and security areas (routing, switching, firewall; Aruba, Fortinet, Cisco, TP-Link)
Certifications desirable but not necessarily required
Know-how in storage and backup solutions (Veeam)
High teamwork ability, analytical skills, as well as independent and solution-oriented work
High willingness to communicate with customers
Very good German and English language skills
Driver’s license B
